Scorpion pays homage to England - the birthplace of waxed-cotton with the addition of its new Birmingham three-quarter length jacket and over pant.
Scorpion’s version infuses nylon with waxed-cotton, adding a degree of abrasion and tear resistance. It's also reinforced with extra fabric in key areas, like the shoulders, elbows, knees, and seat. Pliable CE-certified armor from German company SAS-TEC is used in the same areas, as well as the hips, providing impact protection. There’s also a large foam back protector. Each piece is also removable.
To ensure a weatherproof seal, this relaxed-fit jacket gets an integrated membrane and each seam has been sealed — keeping moisture out. Storage is abundant with four external snap pockets and two leather-lined ones inside the jacket. The back also has a huge zippered pass-through compartment. The pant gets six individual pockets.
Subtle styling touches include the plaid lined interior with leather accents. The YKK brass zippers and snaps are nice touches too. Available in two colors, in sizes small through triple XL this Birmingham kit is a unique take on a venerable classic.
